FAQs

Is it safe to machine wash lingerie garments?

Berlei recommend that all bras are hand washed due to the delicate nature of the garments components. Any bras containing wire may also have a detrimental impact on the life span of your washing machine, if after wash and wear the wiring comes away from the garment. However, we do recommend that co-ordinates (thongs/briefs) be washed in a washing machine at a temperature of 30 degrees. Berlei recommends drying garments at room temperature, but not tumble-drying as this will cause damage to lingerie garments.

How is the Berlei brand 'environmentally friendly?

Berlei advise that all co-ordinates are washed at 30 degrees rather than 40 degrees. Berlei packaging is created from recyclable materials including the swing ticket and the hangers, which can be ground down to make new hangers.

Do Berlei's larger bra sizes reflect the same styling as the smaller sizes?

Berlei make it a priority to ensure that every Berlei garment maintains the same look and styling across all sizes, whilst maintaining the correct support needed.

I need a pretty, strapless bra to go under a special outfit, any ideas?

Berlei's Timeless Multiway bra can be worn as a strapless bra, it has beautiful lace detailing in the wing and at the front between the cups and includes a 3-section cup designed to provide a natural, rounded shape. The product is also available up to G cup!

I need an everyday bra that gives a smooth look but that isn't boring and frumpy.

The Inifinity Smooth cup bra is perfect for wearing under close fitting tops, using innovative flat edge technology seams are minimised. The bonded hook and eye and silver rings provide contemporary styling.

What bra is best to wear if I don't want any show through when I'm wearing white tops?

Berlei offers a 'honey' option within all the lingerie collections; this is a nude colour that will achieve the invisibility required when wearing light coloured tops.

My bra keeps riding up at the back, is this normal?

A bra that rides up at the back indicates that the back size is too big, please refer to Berlei's fitting guide for more information, but trying a smaller back size should rectify the issue.
